After seeing a Nutritionist as a last resort to my own health issues many years ago, I became increasingly interested in the effect food has on our health and well-being. I started to read a lot of books and publications on the subject of nutrition and then decided to enrol on a Diploma course at Plaskett Nutritional Medicine College. Following the completion of my Diploma in Nutrition I continued my studies with Thames Valley University graduating with a BSc in Nutritional Medicine.

I am a member of BANT (British Association of Nutritional Therapists) and the NTC (Nutritional Therapy Council). Both of these organisations have strict rules governing membership, which ensures that all of its members are fully qualified, professional and attend further professional development each year to keep up to date with the latest research and findings.

In 2008 I returned to college to study Kinesiology. I wanted another tool to compliment my Nutritional Therapy work, which would specifically help my clients with stress and emotional related problems, trauma, learning difficulties and pain management. Kinesiology works very well alongside Nutrition to identify food intolerances, chemical imbalances and supplement dosage.

The decision to become a therapist has enabled me to completely change the lives of people who have been living with chronic illness, constant poor health and a feeling of being out of control.

My aim is to educate and motivate my patients about the benefits of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. I truly believe that many people living in this fast paced, stressful and polluted world do not know what it really feels like to be healthy. Good nutrition is not just about eating brown rice and seeds, but getting the balance right so that you have an optimum intake of nutrients to enable you to live life to the fullest. When your body is in balance it is capable of dealing with a lot of the things we cannot change, such as the chemicals in our environment.
